The mission of Tender Hands Learning Academy is to provide a high quality child care for your child. We focuses on the educational experience of each child as an individual according to age and ability. Our goal is to stimulate an encouraging social, cognitive, physical and emotional growth. Tender Hands Learning Academy provides a safe, nurturing and recreational environment for children ages six weeks to 11 years.
Welcome to Tender Hands Learning Academy highest quality rated 24 hour In-Home Facility. I provide high quality child care for children 6 weeks-School Aged in a warm, family and home-like atmosphere. We are a Step Up to Quality accredited center with a 4-Star award.
My program is child driven based on the interest of the children. My goal is to produce happy, intelligent, well-adjusted children. I promote intellectual, not just academic development, meeting the developmental and learning needs of the whole child. I believe every child is a unique individual with varying needs, and we welcome the diversity that brings to my in-home child care centers. All children and families deserve to be full members of their communities, to have the opportunity for development and learning, and to experience a sense of belonging.
The focus of Tender Hands Learning Academy is on the development of each individual child. Therefore, most of the experiences your child has will not be directed at the whole group, but tailored to meet individual learning styles.
My classrooms consist of infants, young toddlers, older toddlers, preschool, pre-k, and school age. We maintain teacher-child ratios, sometimes lower than state requirements to ensure the highest quality of care is provided on an individual child need. My classrooms have one or more teachers with their early childhood education degree and/or credential. I have owned Tender Hands Learning Academy for many years.
Children receive ongoing developmental screenings as they grow and learn. I use the Creative Curriculum that provides ample opportunities to learn through play, exploration, and discovery based on their interest as well as standard teaching techniques.Infants through pre-kindergartners were assessed on developmental skills that are known predictors of later success in school and beyond, including:
